| Klenice River flows through the industrial zone of the city Mladá Boleslav where has been situated a plant for the production of batteries for more than 100 years. In the past, various parts of the area were flooded during several floods and contaminated river sediments with heavy metals. The project focused on the removal of contaminated sediments from the river and their disposal. To realize this project we used mobile facility plant DESET PG-02. Technology involves links of suction dredger, vibrating screens and centrifuges. |
Suction dredger in very limited area on a small river dredged contaminated sediments and material pumped into the pipeline to processing facility plant. DESET PG-02 was located on a very limited area directly inside the industrial site. Bulky waste (garbage, bottles, gravel, wood, bark, PET bottles, etc.) was separated on a vibrating sieve. To improve drainage we used flocculant. The process of sediment dewatering with decanter centrifuge resulted in a significant reduction in the volume of contaminated sediments. The separated waste along with the processed sediment was immediately transported in transport containers for disposal. The bed of the river was also cleared of bulky household waste and other deposits. |
